- Barcelona are suspicious that Dani Alves may already have signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United, according to Spanish webs te Fichajes.net.
- The Brazil right-back, 32, has been open in saying he will listen to offers and will not make a decision until after Saturday’s Champions League final, but he has strongly hinted he will move on.
- “I am with the team 200 per cent but with the board, about 10 per cent – as it is, I have one foot, half a body and almost my head out of the club,” Alves said recently.
- Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling is open to a move to Manchester United, according to the Guardian, but concerned how the transfer would be received given the fierce rivalry between the clubs.
- It has been claimed that Sterling would prefer a move to London, while Liverpool are said to have already ruled out doing business with their North-West rivals, but Sterling is said to be keen to explore the possibility of playing for Louis van Gaal.
- The newspaper says a firm United offer for the 20-year-old could start a bidding war, with Manchester City and Real Madrid monitoring developments.
- Another Liverpool player that could leave Anfield this summer is Mario Balotelli, who Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims is among the targets of incoming AC Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.
- Mihajlovic reportedly tried to sign Balotelli for Sampdoria in January and is now interested in working with him at Milan, although Sampdoria’s Stefano Okako and Pedro Obiang are also on his list of potential purchases.
- Mihajlovic is also interested in Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado, according to the Daily Star, with Jose Mourinho open to the idea of selling the Colombian just five months after signing him from Fiorentina.
- Roma are also said to have enquired about the 27-year-old’s availability.

Dutch veteran Advocaat has been persuaded to perform a sensational U-turn and stay on as head coach, nine days after he quit the post.
“They would not let go,” said Advocaat, who has been handed a one-year contract and the promise of massive funds to ensure the Wearsiders don’t push their luck with a FOURTH consecutive relegation battle next season.
The 67-year-old declared himself “fit” for the challenge and has already handed sporting director Lee Congerton a list of his “ideas” for new signings.
Advocaat, who will work alongside deal-maker Congerton, confirmed: “The owner is willing to make resources available.”
Angel Di Maria insists he’s got no plans to quit Manchester United this summer.
The Argentine winger made just 20 Premier League starts for the Red Devils last season following his £59.7million switch to Old Trafford.
PSG had been linked with a move for Di Maria, but the 27-year-old is ready to return to United next campaign.
“I have just finished my first season playing for Manchester United,” he told the Sun.
“It was a hard season for me. I think it was hard because it was another country and another league, and this league is harder than the Spanish one. So, I couldn’t adapt myself as I wanted to.
“Now I will play the Copa America and then I will move back to Manchester for next season and do my best there.”
Real Madrid have denied they have any interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.
A statement on the club’s website read: “In light of the rumours spread by various media outlets concerning an alleged offer on the part of Real Madrid for the player Marco Verratti, the club states:
“That Real Madrid have not made any contact with PSG or the player’s agent, and therefore these rumours are completely untrue.”
Radamel Falcao is trying to rush through a move to Chelsea – but the deal has hit a potential snag.
Chelsea are understood to only be willing to take Falcao on a season-long loan deal while Monaco would rather negotiate a permanent transfer this summer and the two clubs are trying to thrash out an agreement.
Falcao wants any move to be resolved before Colombia start their Copa America campaign on June 14 and is prepared to take a big cut in his £265,000-a-week wages.
Monaco want around £35m for Falcao but want a fixed deal in place having seen their prized asset drop in value after a disappointing season at Manchester United.
The Daily Star are reporting that Manchester United target Gareth Bale is currently unhappy about his situation at Real Madrid.
They claim the Welshman is fed up of playing on the right flank and his agent, Jonathan Barnett, met with club president Florentino Perez to insist his client switch from playing on the right to the left.
The only problem is, Real Madrid already have someone who likes playing on the left and he usually gets his own way.
