No Chill! Mercy Johnson is pregnant again barely 10 months after delivering second baby

Extremely talented and hard-working actress, Mercy Johnson welcomed her second child Henry in October 2014, but she is already expecting another baby with her husband Prince Odianosen barely 10 months after.
Her pregnancy became obvious on set of her new blockbuster movie, Eviction Day, produced by renowned filmmaker Vitus Nnebue and directed by Afe Olumowe Pictures Image and also starring Nkem Owoh, Isabella Ayuk, Uche Odoputa, and many others.
Mercy Johnson who doesn’t like to go about with a protruded belly and a couple of times has released her postbaby photos spotting a flat belly, now rocks a small baby bump as the pregnancy is still in the early stage.
This is not a matter of hear-say but a matter of seeing-is-believing as our reporters were at the location and found out that her pregnancy was no longer news to everyone who worked with her on set of themovie even as they pampered her accordingly.
You don’t have to believe this report for now, but you’ll eventually do when the pregnancy fully balloon in a couple of months.
However, let’s tell you that the actress’ new Cinema movie “Eviction Day” is one movie that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The movie script is a complicated one that exposes the evils of men single and married and the consequence of decisions made, a script which Mercy Johnson led other star actors to deliver effortlessly.

Benue University: BSU ASUU Calls Off Strike, Lecturers Finally Return To Cla$$

The local chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the Benue State University (BSU) in Makurdi, has on Monday, called off its strike and asked members to return to work.
It would be recalled, the lecturers embarked on an indefinite strike four months ago due to the inability of the former Governor, Gabriel Suswam to pay salaries.
he strike was called off after a peace meeting held by the ASUU leadership and representatives of the management and the state government. The parties reached a “realistic” agreement after hours of meeting.
The ASUU Chairman, Dr David Ikoni, said lecturers were satisfied with the commitment of Governor Samuel Ortom to the agreement.
“We told our members that we agreed to the terms of the governor and suspended the strike on the governor’s appeal. He gave us his commitment and we felt that we should give him a benefit of the doubt,” Dr Ikoni said.
However, he vowed that the lecturers would not hesitate to embark on strike again if the governor failed to keep his promise.

Could This Be The End of P-Square As a Group?

Could This Be The End of P-Square As a Group?

Peter of P-Square has just concluded a deal with telecom giant, Globacom, to power his pet project tagged “Dance with Peter” without his twin brother anywhere in the picture.
Big deal? It would have really been a big deal if he had not only recently clinched another deal with Olympian Milk, without his brother in the detail again.
Maybe, this would have been less disturbing if his brother, Paul, were snapping up deals of his own.
He is not. His only life-line, as it appears, is only his tie to the group, which Peter seems to be inadvertently running away from.
The defence on Peter’s side, as some people have mooted, is that he is the extrovert one while his brother is the introvert. But is Psquare extrovert or introvert?
On his solo ‘Dance with Peter’ reality TV show project, he claimed it was a dream he has been nurturing for more than five years.
Kaffy, Ehis and Nosa, the Psquare choreographer are all on board without Paul in sight. Doesn’t Paul know anything about dancing?
When he clinched the Olympian Mike endorsement he said it had nothing to do with Psquare, likening himself to a footballer who plays for a team and gets solo endorsement with a separate company.
Has Peter really forgiven his brothers, Paul, and Jude, their manager?
During the problem that nearly tore them apart, Peter accused his brothers of disrespecting his wife and vowed never to forgive them for it.
There was also a hint that because he is the passive member in the group the brothers could do without him.
Some reports claimed that the real brain of the group is Paul, who does most of the singing and composing while Peter is a mere dancer, who tags along only because of his blood tie and dance skills.
At the peak of their rift, a report claims Peter didn’t want settlement because he felt stifled by his brothers and wanted out to really discover himself.
If he is on this quest he is doing a nice job of it because he has got two new solid identities without his brothers breathing down his neck.
Psquare has just won the best group of the decade at the just concluded MTV Africa Music Award and has so much going for them. It would be a shame and a big loss to African music to see this group sacrificed on a platter of anything.

How Jonathan Forced Me To Take $75million Loan- Oshiomhole Laments

How Jonathan Forced Me To Take $75million Loan- Oshiomhole Laments

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state has explained that his government was forced to secure a loan of $75million from the World Bank because of former president, Goodluck Jonathan’s looting.
Oshiomhole, who spoke with state house correspondents on Sunday, expressed his delight at president Muhammadu Buhari’s emergence, which he claims has transformed the country and states’ fortunes.
Premium Times recalls that the World Bank had approved a $225 million loan for Edo State Government in 2012, to be implemented in three tranches of $75 million per annum.
The report states further that the first tranche of the loan was approved by the National Assembly in the 2012-2014 Federal Government External Rolling Borrowing Plan, while the second tranche was approved by the National Assembly, only last week.
In a lengthy discussion with the journalists, Oshiomhole said: “If the PDP did not steal the money, we would not need to borrow. What we lost from the NLNG under the PDP Federal Government was about $11.6 billion. Edo State’s share of that money was more than N30 billion.
“If you realise that from every one billion dollars, we get more than N2.7 billion. So if PDP did not steal and bleed the economy dry, our legitimate revenue stolen by the past PDP government and its men is more than that.
“PDP is simply not in a position to blame the victims of their own looting which is unprecedented in the history of the country. My hope is that they would be brought to justice.
“You heard President Buhari saying last week that after they finished looting the treasury, they even borrowed to loot.
“You heard the president say that they took a loan from China and they already had taken $600 million from the loan. By now if they were still there, there would have finished the rest.
“In the South-South zone, look at the debt profile, Edo is the least borrowed. The only major loan we have taken since I assumed office was a N25 billion bond out of which we have paid over N20 billion because we are paying N530 million every month.
“As we speak, we have only about N5 billion left of that loan which will be liquidated before the end of this tenure. You heard of bailout, find out what PDP states are borrowing under the bailout plan, not for development but to pay salaries.
“But Edo State Government is up-to-date with salaries without bail out. You need to interrogate facts and not report these people as if they are responsible people because when you do that, people don’t know the difference between mischief makers and responsible people.
“PDP should simply shut up because they destroyed everything. Carry out your own investigations. You read in the papers how much our neighboring states are borrowing?
“You heard of N20billion, N30 billion under two months. To do what, to settle the invisibles. You hear them talking about N14.5 billion. We are not borrowing to pay salaries, we are able to do that in spite of the massive looting by the PDP.
“I appeal to the media because you are victims and you must interrogate these thieves when they break the highway rules and want to divert you. When you ask questions, they say you want to witch-hunt. Why won’t you witch-hunt when the witches are killing people in the village.
“For me, the only regret I have is that somehow, these rogues can seemingly eat their cake and yours and go out to complain that the cake is missing when it is in their stomach.
“I also need you to consult the World Bank to look at the statement they issued that Edo is the second state, Lagos being the first; that these two states have shown sufficient reforms, transparency, accountability in Internally Generated Revenue and reforming the public policy to ensure value for money.
“They are providing these facilities as a measure for encouraging other states to take a cue from what Lagos and Edo are doing. If this is the basis of support and you are listening to a bunch of armed robbers of what they think about decent society, they would rather borrow at 20% and they are envious that we are attracting a facility more or less at zero cost of 1% spread out over 20 years.
“If you read the report of the Senate, it says about 17 states and these are PDP states have applied for this facility but because of their public image, the World Bank is not willing to loan to them.
“I read in one of the papers that about $2.2 million donated by an NGO to support the election was stolen and they were compelled to return it but the former Minister Finance said it was witchhunting because they have refunded the money but it was misapplied.
“You hear PDP say nothing has happened in Edo State. Even the Hospital we are building, the Benin City Water Storm project, just one project is more than the entire loan we have taken. So as we speak, Edo is the least borrowed. Every state now is borrowing money for salaries.
“You are not just to parrot the views of armed robbers. When you report, you say however, it will be recalled that, that way, the reader understands who is saying the truth.”
The Edo state governor was recently involved in an exchange of words with former finance minister, Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, over allegations that public funds were unaccounted for.
9 Healthiest Fruits You Can Eat

9 Healthiest Fruits You Can Eat

Fruits can be a healthy part of your diet as they are generally rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
But, fruits can also be an extra source of sugar, particularly fructose, that you may be better off without.
To a large extent, whether or not fruits are good for you depends on several factors including:
Your current state of health
Your fructose sensitivity
The type of fruit you consume
Fruits Are an Extra Source of Fructose
The primary reason you need to be careful with fruit is because they contain fructose, which has been linked not only to weight gain but also to over 70 health conditions and chronic diseases.1 Whole fruits do contain vitamins and other antioxidants that reduce the hazardous effects of fructose, but the fact is, most people are not only eating fructose from fruit.
It’s no secret that we are eating more sugar than at any other time in history. In 1700, the average person ate four pounds of sugar a year. Today, about 25 percent of all Americans consume over 134 grams of fructose a day, according to Dr. Richard Johnson’s research.
The major problem with fructose lies in the excessive amounts so many people consume, which is why for most people, including if you’re overweight or obese, it would actually be wise to limit your fruit fructose to 15 grams or less, as you’re virtually guaranteed to get “hidden” fructose from just about any processed food you might eat, including condiments you might never have suspected would contain sugar. The idea is to keep your total fructose consumption at or below 25 grams per day.
As a general rule of thumb, if you’re healthy and do not have insulin resistance, you can probably include some fruits in your diet, assuming you are not eating excess amounts of sugar and fructose elsewhere in your diet. But if you are overweight, have high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes, or high cholesterol, then these are signs it is best to limit your fructose, even from fruits.
Checking Your Uric Acid Levels Can Help You Decide How Much Fruit Is Healthy
Some people may be able to process fructose more efficiently than others, and the key to assess this susceptibility to fructose-induced damage lies in evaluating your uric acid levels. The higher your uric acid, the more sensitive you are to the effects of fructose. The safest range of uric acid appears to be between 3 and 5.5 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl), and there appears to be a steady relationship between uric acid levels and blood pressure and cardiovascular risk, even down to the range of 3 to 4 mg/dl.
Dr. Johnson suggests that the ideal uric acid level is probably around 4 mg/dl for men and 3.5 mg/dl for women. I would strongly encourage everyone to have their uric acid level checked to find out how sensitive you are to fructose.
Many people who are overweight likely have uric acid levels well above 5.5. Some may even be closer to 10 or above. Measuring your uric acid levels is a very practical way to determine just how strict you need to be when it comes to your fructose – and fruit — consumption. I’ve included a chart below of fructose levels in fruit to give you an idea of what 25 grams a day looks like.
Not All Fruits Are Created Equal
The type of fruit will also make a difference in its nutrient value, as all fruits are definitely not equal in this respect. A great rule of thumb is to avoid hybrid varieties, which are fruits that have been altered by humans. Typically, hybrid fruits contain more sugar than regular varieties so they taste sweeter and can be picked out because they don’t contain seeds (seedless watermelon, seedless grapes, etc.).
Below I’ve listed some of the healthiest fruits available in terms of nutritional value along with some of their nutritional qualities.
Coconut
Lauric acid, the major fatty acid from coconut fat, has antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal functions.
May help to normalize body lipids, thereby protecting against alcohol damage to the liver and improving the immune system’s anti-inflammatory response Coconut oil is one of the healthiest oils you can consume
Berries
Contain powerful phytochemicals such as ellagic acid that provide antioxidant protection, as well as directly inhibit the DNA binding of certain carcinogens
Excellent source of vitamin C, carotenes, zinc, potassium, iron, calcium, and magnesium
High in fiber
Low in sugar
Olives
Contain polyphenols that help fight cancer and have an anti-inflammatory effect
Rich in monounsaturated fat
Papaya
Rich in antioxidants like carotenes, vitamin C, and flavonoids
Contains B vitamins, vitamin E, folate, and fiber Rich source of minerals, potassium, and magnesium
Useful for digestion (papaya contains papain, an enzyme that helps with digestion by breaking down proteins)
May provide protection against caner
Provides support for the immune system. Has anti-inflammatory effects
Avocado
Excellent source of raw fat, which many Americans are deficient in
Rich in monounsaturated fat, which is easily burned for energy.
An avocado has more than twice as much potassium as a banana.
Good source of folate, dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin E, riboflavin, and vitamin B6
Mango
Rich source of carotenoids, and vitamins B and C
Contains calcium, iron, and potassium
Good source of phosphorus, selenium, folate, and zinc
Contains some protein and amino acids
Pineapple
Contains an enzyme, bromelain, which aids digestion, reduces inflammation and swelling, and may have anti-cancer effects
Rich in antioxidants like vitamin C
Provides immune support
Excellent source of manganese, thiamin, and riboflavin, which are important for energy production
Guava
Excellent source of vitamin C, lycopene, carotenoids, folate, potassium, fiber, calcium, and iron
Consumption of guava fruit may reduce LDL (“bad”) cholesterol
Has anti-microbial properties that may fight bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and beta-streptococcus group A.
Guava is sometimes used as a treatment for diarrhea by natural medicine workers in the tropics
Kiwi
Excellent source of antioxidant vitamins C and E, and beta-carotene
Rich in phytonutrients that appear to protect human DNA from free-radical damage
Good source of fiber, potassium, magnesium, copper, and phosphorous.

Anita Oyakhilome Reportedly Speaks On How She “Tolerated Abuse For So Long” – READ

Anita Oyakhilome Reportedly Speaks On How She “Tolerated Abuse For So Long” – READ

Last year, it was reported that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Emba$$y Church, and his wife, Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome were going through a divorce. As you may recall, reports stated that Anita was filing for divorce on grounds of “adultery and unreasonable behaviour.”
And now, a website said to belong to Anita, www.pastoranita.org, contains an inspirational message apparently penned by her, in which she talks about inspiring others through the lessons she learned during a dark period when she tolerated abuse for a long time.
Read the message:
I am Anita. It is my desire to reach out and inspire you especially if you feel vulnerable and in need of a change. I hope to inspire you to believe in yourself no matter the circumstances. I want to help you recreate your life going forward, so you can live beautifully. I have been through this journey of rediscovery and nothing is as beautiful as realising one’s uniqueness as I have done. Life is precious however, your life can go through different seasons: winter, spring, summer or autumn. Life can hit you with financial loss, disappointments, death of a loved one, a broken relationship, loss of a job, a divorce, being falsely accused or being a victim of crime. These can shatter you to pieces but you can do something about it.
Life is a gift from God and you deserve to be happy irrespective of your age, race, gender, background or financial situation. I urge you to appreciate the gift you are, you are precious and valuable. Never lose sight of who you are; begin to create new visions and dreams for your life. Let nothing stop you from growing every day.
My story is not one of a bed of roses, far from it but I had a choice to either beat myself over the regret of tolerating abuse for so long or put a stop to the abuse and recreate my life for the best. My journey was not in vain. I can now help others realise that their situation does not define them. In order to move on with life, I have come to realise that nothing is permanent. Your problem is not permanent; you can do something to change it by ensuring you do not allow the situation or the person make your life miserable. Pain is a fact of life, it is inevitable but suffering is optional. You can do something to change the pain by over looking every obstacle, take control as a force of nature to grow and expand. Do what is necessary now to use the gift God has given you to unleash your purpose.
My message to all is simple: you have value therefore discover your potential. Do not allow anybody destroy you or rob you of living a joyful life. Your life is not wasted; you have just started a different phase of life. God will show you how to use your testimony to help others and restore their lives to exuberance. Please join me to encourage and inspire others. You have a story to tell, you can contribute and participate in the dialogues here. Let us all learn from one another’s experience and reach others with the gift of love and kindness. Share your experience by emailing me or making a comment. Celebrate your uniqueness because there is only one of you.
Thank you for visiting my site.

These Funny Photos Of Aisha Buhari Show How Typical Nigerian Mothers React To Situations

The wife of the Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari is no doubt beautiful and caring. Judging by what is known of her so far.
Here are some of her photos which mirror the behaviour of the typical Nigerian mum.
1. WHEN SHE’S PISSED AND YOU ASK “MUMMY, WHERE SHOULD I PUT IT”.. “PUT IT ON MY HEAD”
2. THE FACE SHE MAKES WHEN YOU ASK HER FOR SOMETHING AND SHE ACTS LIKE SHE DIDN’T HEAR YOU.
3. When you tell her a secret and she promised not to tell your father, but still ends up telling him.
4. When your heavily religious mother enjoys your ‘Wizkid jams’ but keeps a straight face so you won’t think she encourages secular music.
5. When she tries to console you after beating you mercilessly.
6. When she asks you to do something and you refuse, she does it herself adding, “Before you were born I’ve been doing this work”.
7. When she’s unbelievably nice to your house guest and even prepares a meal for you both.
8. When she’s gossiping with her friend and she hears something downright hilarious.
9. When your father buys her a gift and she shares pictures of it on her social media account so her friends can be envious.
10. When there is a family hangout at a restaurant and she complains about the food and its exorbitant price.
